CLAUDINE BARRETTO – With speculations heating up about Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson’s alleged breakup, Claudine Barretto finally shared her take on the matter.
Veteran actress Claudine Barretto recently addressed questions regarding the rumored breakup of her niece, Julia Barretto, and actor Gerald Anderson.
In an interview with Ogie Diaz and Inah Evans, Claudine was asked about the alleged end of the couple’s relationship, which has been the subject of speculation due to the supposed involvement of a third party. However, the actress admitted she is not privy to the matter.
“Ako I have no idea. Puro naririnig ko rin lang, ang daming mga fake news, may kung sinu-sinong babae,” she said, noting that Ogie had already clarified reports linking Gerald to singers Gigi de Lana and actress Arci Muñoz, dismissing them as false.
The discussion later shifted to Claudine’s love for volleyball. She revealed that she has built friendships with many players, which explains her frequent attendance at Premier Volleyball League (PVL) matches. Despite this, she admitted she has not encountered Gerald in any of the games.
Ogie then mentioned that Gerald was rumored to be connected to Cignal HD Spikers player Vanie Gandler, a supposed friend of the actor. Claudine, however, was quick to refute what she heard.
“Hindi ‘yan ang ikinuwento sa akin ng mga babies ko sa volleyball,” she responded candidly.
When pressed to explain further, Claudine teased, “Secret! Basta hindi na ‘ko nanonood ng PVL,” before hinting that she no longer wished to watch one particular player.
Claudine Barretto clarified that her feelings were not rooted in animosity but rather in personal preference. “Wala naman akong galit sa bata, hindi ko lang siya gusto, puwede naman ‘yun ‘di ba?” she ended.
While Claudine’s comments did not confirm Julia and Gerald’s relationship status, her remarks highlighted the ongoing curiosity surrounding the pair. With rumors continuing to spread online, fans remain eager for Julia and Gerald to directly address the speculation.
