PAGASA Says 2 LPAs to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that two low-pressure areas will bring rain over parts of the country.
On Tuesday (September 16, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Two low-pressure areas will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina reported that two low-pressure areas are being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. It has a slim chance of developing into a tropical depression.

“This will still move away from our country, possibly tomorrow as it exits the PAR, or it may dissipate as it approaches the part of Vietnam,” Bardina said.
One low-pressure area was spotted at 460 kilometers West of Coron, Palawan. The other one was located at 190 km east-northeast of Juban, Sorsogon.
“The possibility that it become a tropical depression in the next few days is not being ruled out,” he explained.

The LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Aurora, Quezon, Rizal, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Metro Manila, MIMAROPA, rest of Central Luzon, rest of CALABARZON, and the rest of Visayas.
The easterlies will bring similar weather conditions over the rest of Cagayan Valley.
The southwest monsoon will bring the same weather over Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, BARMM, and SOCCSKSARGEN.
The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Ilocos Region and the Cordillera Administrative Region.
The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather over the rest of Mindanao.
The weather agency advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
The coastal water condition across the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
