PAGASA Says LPA and Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that a low-pressure area and easterlies will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Saturday (September 13, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. A low-pressure area and easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area was spotted 340 km east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar. It has a slim chance of developing into a tropical depression.

“Nananatili po mababa yung shansa nito na maging bagyo within the next 24 hours. Ngunit mapapansin po natin na papalipit ito dito sa ating kalupaan kung saan ina-expect po natin ngayon hanggang bukas ay tatawirin ito atong southern Luzon Visayas area,” weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.
The LPA will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Visayas, Calabarzon, Bicol Region, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Zamboanga del Norte.
It will also bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the rest of Luzon.

The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with possible rain over Metro Manila, Visayas, CALABARZON, and the Bicol Region. It will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Mindanao.
“At samantala, for the rest of Luzon naman, magiging bahagi ang maulap hanggang sa maulap po yung ating kalangitan, may chance pa rin tayo o may posibilidad pa din ng mga isolated o yung mga biglaang pagulan, pagilat at pagkulog lalo-lalo na po yan sa hapon at gabi, dulot ng easterlies,” she added.
The weather agency warned the public of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
The coastal water condition across the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
