Is there already a brewing project for John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo? Are they going to finally have a reunion? They have been a love team for over two decades now, and it’s the kind that is iconic and legendary.
Their characters, Popoy and Basha, in the hit movie One More Chance, have become part of the Philippine pop culture. This movie had a sequel, which became a blockbuster hit called A Second Chance, released in 2015. To recall, Cruz and Alonzo were first paired in the 2002 series “Kay Tagal Kang Hinihintay.”
There were rumors last year that Cruz turned down a movie project with Alonzo. Many were shocked, but many remained hopeful that, at the right time, they would be reunited for the big screen.
Recently, in an interview, as the talk online about them having a project together emerged once more, Alonzo finally addressed the matter and set the record straight. According to her, there were no plans pitched to them yet, but to be fair, their love team continues to accept offers.
The Kapuso actress added that they are just waiting for the right project that they can both agree on and something that would align with their current life situations.
“So far, wala pang plano. Pero to be fair naman, parang hindi naman nawawalan ng offer pagdating sa aming dalawa. So, siguro naghahanap lang kami ng tamang proyekto na pareho that we both can agree on. And something that would represent us right now, where we are at in our lives,” she said.
