Alma Concepcion clapped back at her basher
Actress Alma Concepcion reacted to a netizen who called her “laos” after she defended her friend, veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez, and her son, actor-politician Arjo Atayde.
To recall, Sylvia and Arjo received bashing because of the alleged anomalous flood control projects. It is after Sarah and Curlee Discaya dragged the actor-politician into the issue by mentioning that he allegedly received kickbacks from flood control projects.
As a mother, Sylvia was dragged into the issue as well, especially when netizens recalled the vlog interview she had with veteran journalist Korina Sanchez.
Amid the issue, Sylvia Sanchez and Arjo Atayde received support from their loved ones and friends. Alma Concepcion reshared her posts back in 2021 and stressed that the Ataydes already owned a yacht and their rest houses even before Arjo entered politics.
However, Alma received negative reactions after she defended the Ataydes. Based on the article in PEP, netizens called Alma “laos” or a “has-been.”
“Siguro sustentado ng mga atayde ang laso na to,” a netizen commented, while the other one said that maybe Alma was expecting that she would receive a blessing if ever she got involved in the issue.
The actress reposted this on her Facebook page. In the caption of her post, Alma said, “Laos? At least sumikat at nakapag pundar,” she wrote in the caption of her post.
Alma asked the netizens if they had become famous or if they were able to save money. “Baka mas marami pa akong natulungan kesa sa inyo, so make sure maayos ang buhay mo bago ka mambato sa iba,” she said, adding that she helped a lot of people and she was able to send her sibling to school. Then, she asked the netizens, “Ano ambag mo sa mundo?“
She also told them to look in the mirror first before bashing other people. Alma pointed out that there would come a time when celebrities would no longer be as famous as they used to be.
For her, the most important thing is to maximize and invest while one is still earning from being a celebrity. Alma Concepcion shared that even when she was just starting in showbiz, her mother told her that her career would not be forever.
This was the reason why she studied and finished Business and Interior Design courses. She also maximized her career in showbiz and invested wisely. The actress even dared her bashers to answer her questions on her page.
