Michael V’s “Ciala Dismaya” went viral, and controversial contractor Sarah Discaya has this reaction, according to her lawyer.
Ciala Dismaya of Michael V is a play on the name of Sarah Discaya, the controversial contractor. The term “Ciala,” which sounds like “shala” means fancy, while “Dismaya” means disappointment. The Kapuso personality previously went viral for his uncanny resemblance to the contractor, which he later on played with and introduced Ciala Dismaya to the public.
Previously, Discaya made headlines after admitting they own nine companies and that there were instances when her nine construction firms bid for the same government flood control projects.
Michael V wore a wig mimicking Discaya’s hairstyle, and put on moles exactly on the same spots where the moles of Discaya are located. He also wore glasses and an outfit similar to hers – an inner top and blazer. This is his newest parody character on GMA Network’s long-running comedy program Bubble Gang. The character is set to air on Sunday, September 14, on Bubble Gang.
Discaya’s lawyer recently spoke about her reaction to it, and accordingly, the contractor is not mad over the impersonation. Atty. Cornelio Samaniego III said in an interview, “Hindi po. Okay lang sa kanya. Alam mo naman si Sir Bitoy, talaga namang, idol ko nga yan.”
According to Samaniego, she is aware of the skit, which was inspired by the hearing on flood control projects in which she and her husband, Curlee Discaya, became entangled. She is not offended by it and doesn’t have any violent reactions.
“Nirerespeto natin si Michael V. Idol natin iyan sa Bubble Gang. Trabaho niya yan. Parang ako, abogado, trabaho ko ito. Si Sir Michael, trabaho niya yun. Doon siya kilala. So, bakit tayo magagalit?” he said.
