Wanted Man for Robbery Released After Posting Bail in Quezon City

A 31-year-old wanted man for robbery in Barangay Bagong Silangan, Quezon City was arrested but released after posting bail.

Police arrested the suspect in Quezon City, who had been wanted for a robbery case dating back to 2013. Authorities said the man was one of three suspects involved in the crime. After his arrest, however, he was released upon posting bail amounting to P100,000.

According to Batasan Captain Glenn Gonzales, the suspects were accused of forcibly entering a house more than a decade ago. Witnesses were able to identify them, which led to the filing of charges and the eventual release of a warrant of arrest.

Puwersahan nilang pinasok ‘yung bahay, na-found out nu’ng complainant na ‘yung bahay nila is pinasok. Na-identify at naturo sila ng mga witnesses,” Gonzales said.

The police did not take a statement from the suspect after his arrest. Following his release, he is expected to attend court hearings as part of the legal process.

Meanwhile, in a separate case in Barangay Commonwealth, police also arrested a 35-year-old woman who was wanted for violating the Bouncing Checks Law. The case was filed in Pampanga back in May after she allegedly issued a check worth more than P1 million to a client, which later bounced.

The accused claimed she was not hiding and was aware of the warrant against her. She declined to give any further statement. Police said she will be brought to Pampanga for the proper return of warrant and continuation of legal proceedings.

“Nag-issue siya ng tseke na worth more than P1 million doon sa client nila tapos ‘yung tseke is tumalbog. Kaya sinampahan siya ng kaso ng complainant niya,” Gonzales added.

Both arrests show the continuous efforts of law enforcement in tracking down individuals facing pending charges. Authorities reminded the public that legal cases, even those from several years ago, remain enforceable until resolved in court.
