Yen Santos Breaks Her Hiatus w/ a Dramatic & Unexpected Comeback
YEN SANTOS – The wait is over as Yen Santos returns with a new project that is already creating buzz online.
Kapamilya actress Yen Santos is making her long-awaited return to acting through an upcoming microdrama series, marking her comeback after a hiatus that began in 2021. The break came after she was linked to Kapuso actor and TV host Paolo Contis, a controversy that kept her away from major acting projects for some time.
According to a recent post by ABS-CBN, Yen will be one of the lead stars in the newest microdrama series titled Twist of Fate. This project signals a fresh chapter in her career as she returns to the spotlight and reconnects with audiences.
Joining Yen in the series are actors Rafael Rosell, Angelica Lao, and Tony Labrusca. The series will be directed by Andoy Ranay, known for his work on various television dramas.
“The best way to get even? Take everything,” read the caption of the announcement post, hinting at an intense and dramatic storyline that viewers can look forward to.
“Watch out for the newest microdrama series, #TwistOfFate! Starring Yen Santos, Rafael Rosell, Angelica Lao & Tony Labrusca. Directed by Andoy Ranay.”
“Coming soon on iWant!” it added, confirming that the series will be available on the streaming platform iWant.
While this marks Yen’s first acting project following the controversy, it is not the first time she has reappeared in the public eye. In August 2025, she participated in a vlog alongside former Ilocos Sur governor Luis Chavit Singson. During the vlog, Singson addressed rumors linking the two, including speculations about them allegedly having a child together and being romantically involved.
In the same month, Yen also responded to speculation about her personal life, particularly rumors that she had already separated from her partner. She clarified her stance and even shared that she no longer wanted to go to Baguio “as a friend.”
It can be recalled that Paolo had previously confirmed in an interview that he and Yen had already parted ways. With her return to acting, fans are now eager to see Yen Santos embrace a new beginning in her career.
