Actor Baron Geisler shared his thoughts on people who used to call him a “lost cause” in the past.

Baron had quite a topsy-turvy journey in showbiz. He was one of the popular 90s teen stars who eventually gave dramatic roles. However, it is known to many that he earned the “bad boy” tag in showbiz because of his past behavior.

In recent years, the actor was able to deal with his life’s struggles. Being sober was a challenging feat for him, but fortunately, he was able to manage to stay away from his past life filled with issues and controversies.

In a recent interview, based on the article in ABS-CBN, Baron Geisler admitted that it was hard for him to be called a bad guy.

During the time when I was being pegged as a ‘bad guy’ on and off screen, It hurt. But I also used it. That phase in my life taught me who I was and who I didn’t want to be. I’m not trying to change the narrative—I’m just living differently now. Hopefully people see that. If not, that’s okay too,” the actor said.

That kind of statement brought hurt to him during the time when he was experiencing life’s turbulence. “That I was ‘a lost cause.’ That crushed me,” he said.

However, he found the determination to prove that those people were wrong. He wanted to prove that not out of spite but out of grace. With that thinking, he surrounded himself with the right people. “God found me when I was at my lowest. That’s how I rose,” Baron added.

The actor also shared that he reflected on the worst and the best things that he learned while treading the way to sobriety. For him, the worst thing that happened was when he hurt the people he loves; the best thing was the realization that healing is possible.

Even though it is not easy to achieve self-healing that would eventually heal other people around, Baron Geisler stressed that it is worth it. He also said that his three children, Connor Jameson and Talitha with his wife Jamie, and his 19-year-old daughter Sophia Asistio with Nadia Montenegro, are his inspiration to be a better person.
