Guide on Philippine Holidays 2026 Based on Malacañang’s Resolution
PHILIPPINE HOLIDAYS 2026 – Here is a full list of the regular holidays and special non-working days in the Philippines next year.
Undeniably, aside from the personal events, many people are also looking forward to holidays. There are different types of holidays in the Philippines including the regular holiday, special non-working day, and special working day among others.

During regular holidays, classes in schools in all levels are suspended. Work in both public and private sectors are also suspended. Those employees who will report to work are entitled to an extra pay based on the computation set for the regular holiday as per the mandate of the Department of Labor and Employment or DOLE.
Workers who will not report to work will not incur deductions from their monthly salary unless there are specific arrangements with a private sector employee. There are different pay conditions in other cases which you can check below.

During a regular holiday, here are the conditions set by Labor Code with regards to the additional pay:
- If a worker did not work on a regular holiday, the employee is entitled to receive a full salary on the said day.
- If a worker worked for eight (8) hours on a regular holiday, he/she is entitled to a “Double Pay” — the employee will get twice (2) or 200% of his/her basic salary which is computed by adding the basic wage and the cost of living allowance (COLA).
- If a worker worked on overtime on a regular holiday, aside from the 200% pay, the employee is entitled to an additional pay that is equivalent to 30% of the worker’s daily rate for every hour of overtime work.
- If a worker’s rest day or dayoff falls on a regular holiday and he/she reported to duty, he/she is entitled for a Double Pay on top of an equivalent of 30% of the said 200% salary for the day.
- If the worker worked overtime on a rest day which is a regular holiday, the employee is entitled to a total sum of a Double Pay or 200% salary for the day, 30% of the said Double Pay, and another 30% for every hour of overtime.
