PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Saturday (September 6, 2025)  

PAGASA Says LPA and Southwest Monsoon to Affect PH Weather Condition

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that a low-pressure area will bring rain over parts of the country.  

On Saturday (September 6, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical ,and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. A low-pressure area will affect the country’s weather conditions.  

PAGASA reported that low pressure area outside of Luzon has developed into Tropical Depression Lannie.

Lannie was last spotted at 315 km west of Sinait, Ilocos Sur. It has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 55 kph. It will be the 12th tropical cyclone to enter or form in the Philippine Area of Responsibility this year.  

Lannie will move generally northwestward until Monday (08 September) before turning west northwestward through the rest of the forecast period,” Pagasa said.  

Lannie is expected to develop into a tropical storm by Saturday night or Sunday early morning (September 7, 2025).

“On the forecast track, this tropical depression is forecast to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by this morning or afternoon,” the agency added.  

The tropical depression will bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley.  

The localized thunderstorms will affect the weather conditions over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, MIMAROPA, and CALABARZON, while the rest of the country.  

PAGASA warned the residents of Ilocos Region, Cagaya,n and Isabela to brace for strong to gale-force winds on Saturday and Sunday due to tropical depression Lannie.  

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the western section of Northern Luzon will be moderate to rough, and the rest of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.  

No gale warning was raised over any parts of the country.
