After heavy rain, many areas in Metro Manila experienced flood
Here are some of the Metro Manila areas where flood water rises after heavy rain due to low pressure area.
On September 6, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that a low-pressure area outside of Luzon had developed into Tropical Depression Lannie.
The weather agency forecasted that this Tropical Depression will move northwestward until Monday (08 September). Then, it will turn west-northwest through the rest of the forecast period.

On Saturday, many areas in Metro Manila experienced flooding. Based on the photos from Manila DRRM Office/Facebook, shared by GMA, Taft Avenue, Ermita, was already flooded; the same situation can be seen along Manila City Hall. Quezon Boulevard, and Plaza Rueda.
In a video shared by ABS-CBN, from Paul Gabriel Oyanib/ Talon Uno Responder Las Piñas City Update, as of 12:45 p.m., the flood level in Molave Creek in Bgy. Talon Tres, Las Piñas City rose.
Along UN Corner Taft Avenue, the flood situation added burden to commuters, but the area remained passable.
Another report from GMA showed that the Marcos Alvarez Avenue in Las Piñas City was already flooding. The water level decreased past 12 noon.
The flooding issue has reached the Senate Hearing. Contractors who were allegedly involved in the supposed anomalous flood control projects were questioned. One of them was business woman Sarah Discaya, who reportedlly owned several contracting firms.
Netizens have been vocal about their criticism against alleged corrupt officials and contractors, especially those whose families were allegedly living lifestyles.
Befor the issue exploded, residents in Metro Manila ares complained about the flooing due to southwest monsoon last July. This opened up the pandora box of the alleged corruption in flood control projects.
