SUV Linked to Kidnapping Found Inside Camp Crame
A sport utility vehicle (SUV) linked to a kidnapping case was found inside the police headquarters compound in Camp Crame.
Recently, the authorities at Camp Crame have stepped up security and inspections after an SUV linked to a kidnapping case was discovered inside the headquarters. The SUV was reportedly found parked within the officers’ quarters, an area reserved for police officials.
Documents from the Headquarters Support Service (HSS) revealed that the Philippine National Police (PNP) will conduct a joint operation with the Highway Patrol Group (HPG) and the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG).

The initiative is aimed at cracking down on police officers violating the law, particularly those using recovered or seized vehicles for personal purposes.
The same document, dated August 22, 2025, stated that parking on the sides of roads within the camp is now prohibited, and only authorized officials will be allowed to park in designated spaces.
The measure comes after the August 6 discovery of a vehicle allegedly stolen through a rent-sangla scam and later used by three Chinese nationals and one Filipina who were victims of kidnapping.
While the PNP-HPG has not officially confirmed the document, they stated that regular inspections are conducted to ensure vehicles entering the camp are legal and not involved in any violations.
The HPG also issued a stern warning to anyone, including police officers, who might be using recovered vehicles or those held as evidence. They emphasized that rank or position will not exempt anyone from accountability.

The stricter inspections aim to strengthen security and restore public confidence in law enforcement operations.
