Influencer to Stop “Bad Deeds” After Mayor Vico Sotto’s Commented on His Video

ICHAN REMIGIO – The social media influencer has decided to lie low his playful “illegal” tips after catching the attention of Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto.

Recently, Ichan Remigio, a Facebook user popular for his satirical videos where he humorously suggests shortcuts to success, often joking about doing “illegal” things to achieve financial freedom early in life.

In one of his recent Instagram reels, he talked about how most people study until 20, work until 60, and barely get to enjoy life. He jokingly said that if someone focused on “illegal” activities for just five years, they could spend the rest of their life relaxing and enjoying.

“Eh kung ganito ang buhay mo, 5-20, nag-aral ka, lahat ng natutunan mo diyan, in-apply mo sa ilegal which is ’yung 25-30 years old mo,” Remigio said.

The video quickly gained popularity online and elicited reactions from the internet users. Even Mayor Vico joined in on the fun by leaving a comment asking if it was still possible to do what Remigio suggested now that he had just turned 36.

“Sir kunwari kaka-36 yrs old lang pwede pa po ba ito gawin? Asking for a friend,” Vico commented.

Remigio responded in a follow-up post, laughing off the mayor’s question and saying that someone like Mayor Vico should no longer listen to him because he is considered one of the hopes of the country.

Medyo late na, maging mabuting tao nalang po siguro. Katulad ng ginagawa niyo sir,” Ichan replied.

The influencer even joked about giving the mayor a phone from his future brand deals so that the mayor would not have to resort to anything “illegal.”

He ended his message by thanking the mayor for giving hope to content creators and followers like him, saying that the engagement inspired him to do better.
