Controversial contractor Sarah Discaya says they own several companies.
During an interpellation, contractor Sarah Discaya defended her family’s massive wealth, saying they own a number of companies.
During Monday’s Senate Blue Ribbon committee hearing, controversial contractor Sarah Discaya answered several questions regarding the alleged anomalous flood control projects. From a chambermaid’s daughter, she became the contractor queen, a notorious one in a field where men are usually the dominant.

Previously, Discaya admitted to owning 28 luxury cars, and in the same interpellation, she also admitted that she owns at least nine companies. According to her, there were times when her companies would compete against each other in the same bidding for a single contract.
“So that is not a legitimate bidding. Dahil yung siyam na ‘yun na naglalaban-laban sa isang kontrata, iisa lang may ari. So kahit sino dun, kahit sinong manalo dun sa bidding na yun, ikaw ang panalo,” Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada expressed after the confession.
Asked if their wealth was acquired after getting projects under the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), she expressed, “I would presume na in the 23 years, pwede naman po siguro kami kumita.”
She added that their construction firms started with local government projects. According to her, the reference to the allegations was just from the “spliced” video, and said, “Ang hirap makasingil sa local government. They spliced the video that was taken of me and just mentioned the DPWH.”
In August, President Bongbong Marcos revealed that firms linked to Discaya were among the 15 contractors that secured ₱100 billion, accounting for 20 percent of the total ₱545-billion budget for flood control projects.
The following are the nine companies owned by Discaya:
- Alpha and Omega Construction
- St. Timothy Construction
- St. Gerrard Construction
- Elite General Contractor and Development Corporation
- St. Matthew General Contractor & Development
- Great Pacific Builders and General Contractor
- YPR General Contractor and Construction Supply
- Amethyst Horizon Builders and General Contractor & Dev’t Corp.
- Way Maker OPC
