Recently, amid the investigation, Malacañang announced that Pres. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has ordered the lifestyle checks of all the DPWH officials and everyone involved in the alleged anomalous flood control projects in the country.

Furthermore, Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro also stressed that Marcos Jr. also made an emphasis on the continuous checking of the records of the Public Works department with regards to the anomalous projects.

According to the Malacañang press official, the lifestyle checks ordered by Marcos Jr. will start among the DPWH officials allegedly involved in the anomalous flood control projects. Based on the report, stressed that the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and the Office of the Ombudsman could conduct lifestyle checks.
