LTO Revokes License of Female Lawyer Who Ran Over Traffic Enforcer in Cavite
A female lawyer from Kawit, Cavite has permanently lost her driver’s license after running over a traffic enforcer during a traffic apprehension.
Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon confirmed the sanction, stressing that reckless drivers who disregard the law will face serious consequences.
The incident, which was caught on CCTV, showed the enforcer, identified as Michael Trajico, clinging to the hood of the lawyer’s vehicle for nearly 15 minutes after being hit. Trajico said he was only doing his duty when the driver suddenly drove into him.

Fortunately, he survived the incident, but the danger he faced emphasizes the risks that traffic enforcers encounter on the job every day.
Secretary Dizon reminded the public that the government, through the Land Transportation Office, has the authority to suspend or revoke licenses not only temporarily but also permanently for severe cases.
“‘Pag kayo ay hindi sumunod sa batas, kayang-kayang tanggalin ng gobyerno, ng LTO, ang lisensya n’yo. Either temporarily, or in the case ng mga grabeng violators, forever o habambuhay kayong hindi makaka-maneho, makakasuhan pa kayo,” said Secretary Dizon
Dizon added that no one, regardless of their profession, is above the law. For someone in the legal profession, he said, accountability should be taken even more seriously.
Authorities also encouraged Trajico to file charges against the lawyer, assuring him that the law is on his side. The Department of Transportation further announced plans to release the names of repeat traffic violators as a way of warning the public and discouraging others from committing the same offenses.
The incident has sparked discussions on road safety, discipline, and respect for traffic enforcers who work to keep order on the streets. Many netizens expressed their support for Trajico and praised the government’s firm decision to impose a lifetime driving ban on the lawyer.
