Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Claims Pres. Bongbong Marcos Allegedly “Amoy Alak” When She Resigned as DepEd Chief
BONGBONG MARCOS – Vice President Sara Duterte claimed that the President allegedly smelled like alcohol at 10:30 a.m. when she tendered her resignation as the secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd).
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte served as the chief of DepEd for two (2) years since July 2022 to 2024. Countless people were surprised when she tendered her resignation and she also made the decision to leave the Marcos Cabinet.

On her decision to resign as the chief of DepEd, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that it is out of her concern for the welfare of the teachers and the students. Later on, she admitted that her decision to leave the Marcos Cabinet includes both work and personal reasons.
The Filipino populace witnessed the souring relationship between the highest and the second-highest officials in the government since Duterte resigned from being the education secretary. She has been throwing tirades against the President.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that the Marcos administration allegedly has “no direction at all”. According to her, she can really attest to it as she was once part of the Marcos Cabinet.

Despite her tirades against the President, Duterte claimed that she has no ill feeling against Marcos Jr. According to the Vice President, she has a problem with how she leads the country. Recently, at an event in Kuwait, the Vice President lamented that the country’s education is allegedly behind the education system of other more developed nations.
Following the Vice President’s criticisms against the PH education as she compared it with the education system abroad, Malacañang called the stint of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte as a “complete failure”. The Palace stressed that Duterte should have already provided remedies for the things she’s complaining against the PH education.

Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos allegedly asked her to stay when she resigned as the DepEd chief, thus, she does not know where the claim of the Palace was coming from. Based on a report on PhilStar, the Vice President also claimed that the Chief Executive allegedly smelled like alcohol when she tendered her resignation.
“Amoy alak siya at 10:30 in the morning. Doon ko na-confirm ‘yung desisyon ko na mag-resign. So, hindi ako ang failure. Siguro, ang failure is ‘yung 10:30 pa lang ng umaga, amoy alak ka na,” the Vice President claimed.
Based on the report, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte further claimed that she allegedly saw Pres. Bongbong Marcos drinking champagne but he smelled like liquor at 10:30 in the morning.
Recently, amid the issues, Malacañang said they are happy as the Philippines is nearing the upper middle-income status.
