Ivana Alawi & Mona Test Honesty in Social Experiment—Many Fail the Challenge
IVANA ALAWI – Sisters Ivana Alawi and Mona Alawi’s latest YouTube prank brought surprising results as many people chose to keep “lost” money instead of returning it.
Ivana and Mona Alawi recently shared their mixed emotions after conducting their latest social experiment, which tested people’s honesty through a prank featured on Ivana’s YouTube channel.
In the prank, a companion of the Alawi sisters pretended to drop money in public to observe whether passersby would return it to the rightful owner. Those who chose to do the right thing were promised a special reward.
However, much to their dismay, Ivana and Mona noticed that more people decided to keep the money rather than give it back, despite having the opportunity to do so. Mona admitted being especially shocked at the number of individuals who pocketed the cash without hesitation.
While disappointed, the sisters also expressed understanding, saying that perhaps some of those who kept the money were driven by financial struggles. “Baka naman kailangan talaga nila” they reflected, showing empathy despite their initial frustration.
On the other hand, Ivana and Mona were deeply impressed by those who returned the money without hesitation. To honor their honesty, the sisters multiplied the reward up to 50 times the dropped amount, giving between Php25,000 to Php50,000 to those who showcased integrity.
Some participants who returned the money explained their actions. A few said it was against their principles to take something that wasn’t theirs, while others believed in the concept of karma—that good or bad deeds would always come back to them.
One particular man stood out to Ivana and Mona. Despite living a modest life, he returned the lost money, sharing that he never forgot his late father’s advice to never take what does not belong to him. He also revealed that although his earnings were limited, he still made it a point to feed animals in his community. The sisters praised him not only for his honesty but also for his compassion.
Ivana, who is known for her pranks and social experiments, continues to create content that goes beyond entertainment—highlighting kindness, integrity, and support for those in need.
