The driver had been at the school to pick up his granddaughter when the accident happened. “Si tatay is magsusundo ng granddaughter niya. Accidentally niya po na naapakan ‘yung accelerator ng sasakyan kaya nagbulusok po ito at pumasok sa education business building ng naturang school,”  Caloocan Police Station Acting Chief of Investigation Detection Management Section Police Captain Romel Caburog said.

One of the victims was an eight-year-old boy who was with his father at the time. According to the boy’s mother, her husband had just finished work at the nearby hospital and was waiting with their son when the vehicle suddenly rushed toward them.

The father quickly pushed the child out of harm’s way, preventing more serious injuries. Both sustained minor wounds and bruises.
