Wild Boys producers speak against the Abrenica brothers after working with them.
ABRENICA BROTHERS – The producers of the film “Wild Boys” have this experience to share after working with Aljur and Vin.
In a previous article, the Abrenica brothers, Aljur and Vin, were warned about the looming decision of the producers of “Wild Boys” in filing a complaint against them for breach of contract. The two actors reportedly failed to fulfill their obligations in promoting the movie, in which both of them star.
“To give them the chance to explain, yung failures nila for, number one, sa promotions. Then they must remember, nagkaroon ng premiere night, they were not present. Ayoko kasing magpa-file ako right away without giving them the opportunity to explain,” Olongapo City Councilor Atty. Noel Atienza, the legal counsel of Bright Ideas, confirmed.
The initial move before Aljur and Vin face a breach of contract complaint was a demand letter to let them explain why they failed to do what they signed up for.
The actor’s camp addressed the issue, claiming it was merely a miscommunication between the two parties. However, in a recent interview, the film’s producers refuted this, saying it was not a miscommunication at all, as they had messages proving everything was clear. They also pointed out how the two actors would often make excuses, causing them to miss work. There were a lot of instances when other stars would wait for them, but they never showed up.
“We don’t see the point po na magkakaroon ng miscommunication kasi kung gusto po talaga nila, we can actually show yung mga chat,” said Joel Fabello, the associate producer.
The Abrenica brothers did not show up in the pictorial for the poster, and they also did not say anything about skipping the premiere night. The experience working with them was tragic, as per the words of the producers.
The delays and the excuses create negative impacts for the film. It was poorly promoted due to the negligence of the lead stars. The producers hoped that their experience with the actors would serve as a warning to the other producers.
