Actor Aljur Abrenica and his brother, Vin Abrenica, will be facing a breach of contract complaint after they failed to do this for their film.
Bright Ideas Productions is reportedly preparing to file a breach of contract complaint against brothers Aljur and Vin Abrenica. The issue stems from claims that the two have failed to fulfill their obligations in promoting Wild Boys, a film in which both actors play roles.
Olongapo City Councilor Atty. Noel Atienza, the legal counsel of Bright Ideas, confirmed the company’s plan to file a complaint for breach of contract. But before the formal filing, they are going to send a demand letter to the Abrenica brothers.
“To give them the chance to explain, yung failures nila for, number one, sa promotions. Then they must remember, nagkaroon ng premiere night, they were not present. Ayoko kasing magpa-file ako right away without giving them the opportunity to explain,” the attorney said.
If they fail again in explaining their side, that is when they are going to file the complaint. As for their part, they did not fail in reaching out to their clients. They were the ones who remained unresponsive.
Recently, the management of the Abrenica brothers made a clarification about the alleged breach of contract. Accordingly, it was miscommunication. Both actors are now communicating with the producer and are set to join the next promotional activities.
“While there is no issue working with Viva, the company was not mentioned in the contract, and they were unaware it would serve as the distributor. They added that no endorsement was made, and they were neither given a schedule nor informed that the distributor would be the one coordinating with them,” the management said.
