This recent post that Rica Peralejo shared did not sit well with netizens
Social media influencer Rica Peralejo shared her thought on the problem in Philippine traffic and netizens slammed her for this.
Rica was one of the popular showbiz personalities in the 90s until early 2000s. In recent years, she has been inactive in showbiz. The last movie appearance she had was in 2014 for Fairy Tail the Movie: Phoenix Priestess, while her last guest TV appearance was in Maalaala Mo Kaya in 2013.
Rica became active on social media. She has her YouTube channel in which she shares vlogs about her everyday life with her family, including their travels around the Philippines and abroad.
The former actress uses her social media platforms to share her thoughts on issues, as well. However, most of the time, she would garner hate or negative comments because of what she was sharing online, just like what she posted last month, in which she mentioned Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista.
Fans of the Kapuso star slammed Rica Peralejo for allegedly invalidating the hard work or the suffering that Heart might have been experiencing behind the camera because her life remained glamorous in front of the camera.
Rica explained her side and stressed that she had no intention to downplay Heart’s struggles. The former actress eventually apologized.
Just recently, Rica once again shared a post on her Threads account that caught the attention of the online community in a bad way. She shared her thoughts on Philippine traffic. “Dati akala ko gobyerno ang problema kung bakit hindi tayo mawalanwalan ng traffic. Pero kasi ayaw din pala ng mga tao. Gusto pala talaga nila na nakakorse tapos magically mawala yung traffic,” she wrote in her post.
The netizen who shared this under ChikaPH on Reddit titled this, “No, it’s poor public transport Ms. Rica,” and added this caption, “Tell me you’re not riding public transportation without telling me.”
