Vhong Navarro talked about his absence from the GMA Gala 2025
Kapamilya comedian-host Vhong Navarro shared the reason why he was not able to attend the GMA Gala 2025.
Vhong is one of the main hosts of the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime, which is now being aired on GMA and GTV. Last year, he and his co-hosts attended the GMA Gala.
The annual event is being held as a fundraising endeavor to support the Kapuso Foundation.
However, this year, Vhong Navarro was not able to attend the GMA Gala. It was just Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Ogie Alcasid, Jhong Hilario, Darren Espanto, and Cianne Dominguez.
During a recent funny banter between the It’s Showtime hosts, in a recent episode of the noontime show, Vhong Navarro shared the reason for his absence in the GMA Gala, based on the article in the Inquirer.
The hosts talked about Vhong’s ensembles as Vice recalled the Kapuso event. “Ang yabang-yabang nito sa chat group. Buti daw may raket sila ni Ion kaya di na siya gumastos, kumita pa,” Vice said about Vhong.
Then, Vice jokingly reported this to GMA Network executive Annette Gozon-Valdes. “Ma’am Annette oh!” the Unkabogable Star said.
After that, Vhong explained and addressed this to the Kapuso executive. “Ma’am Annette, hindi po. Nataon lang po, pasensya na. Babawi po ako next year,” the comedian-host said.
Based on the article, even though Vhong Navarro did elaborate on what project he did at that time, it can be seen in a recent Instagram post that he, together with his Showtime co-hosts Ion Perez, Jackie Gonzaga, as well as actress Bela Padilla, attended an event in Kabankalan City in Negros Occidental.
