The San Francisco Police Department recently paid tribute to Trevor Magallanes, the late husband of actress and comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto.

A week ago, news about the sudden death of Trevor Magallanes, the estranged husband of actress and comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto, emerged online. Many were surprised, as before this erupted online, he had made headlines for announcing that he and the actress had separated.

“I’m deeply saddened by this development. Hope you give us time to mourn his lost especially my daughter. Just pray for us that we will get thru this by the help of God!” Quinto wrote in her statement about her husband’s death.

In a statement, Rufa clarified that with her husband’s death, she became a widow as they had not separated legally. Their marriage was still legal when he died, and right after hearing the news, she and their daughter, Athena, flew to the United States.

The reason for his death has not been disclosed yet, and recently, in an Instagram post, she shared the tribute from the San Francisco Police Department. Trevor was a member of the SFPD’s 263rd Recruit Academy Class, and he served from September 2018 until February 2023.

She shared photos of him in his police uniform, and in the caption, she shared the message from the police department. As per SFPD, he was someone who had “served the communities of the Mission, Tenderloin, Central, and Taraval Districts “with dedication and commitment.”

“He is survived by his beloved daughter, Athena, who was the light of his life.  We extend our deepest condolences to Trevor’s family, friends, and former colleagues during this difficult time,” the SFPD’s tribute for him also said.
