PAGASA Says 3 Weather Systems to Affect PH Weather Condition

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that three weather systems will bring rains over parts of the country.

On Wednesday (August 6, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Three weather systems will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA weather specialist Loriedin De La Cruz-Galicia reported that a low-pressure area, southwest monsoon, and localized thunderstorms will bring overcast skies and rains over some parts of the country.

A low-pressure area was spotted inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. It has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression.

“So ngayon po ang center niya ay nasa dagat pero as early as now ay nagdudulot na po ito ng mga pag-ulan sa silangang bahagi ng Luzon at sa silangang bahagi ng Visayas,” PAGASA said.

The LPA’s trough will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Quezon, Northern Samar, and Eastern Samar.

Wherever you go today, don’t forget to bring an umbrella because we expect the weather to be rainy brought by the direct effect of the LPA,” De La Cruz-Galicia said.

The southwest monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Mindanao, Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, and Palawan.

The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

The coastal water condition throughout the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
