Pinay OFW from Japan Lost Her Life After Falling Asleep on Bus
An overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who had just arrived from Japan died on a bus after falling asleep and never waking up.
Recently, Jepoy Zerimar, a Facebook user, shared photos of an OFW passed away in her sleep during a bus ride. The post quickly went viral on social media and garnered various reactions from netizens.
The Pinay OFW, who had just returned to the Philippines from Japan, was on her way to her hometown in Negros Oriental. She had taken multiple connecting flights from Kuwait to Japan, then to Manila, followed by a domestic flight to Cebu.

From there, she boarded a bus bound for Dalaguete, hoping to finally reach home after a long journey.
Unfortunately, exhaustion may have taken a heavy toll on her. According to some netizens, she fell asleep on the bus and never woke up. The conductor reportedly tried to wake her upon arrival to issue her ticket, but noticed that something was wrong.

Fellow passengers also realized she was unresponsive and had no pulse. The bus made a stop at a nearby police station, but it was already too late.
One passenger recalled that the OFW had earlier mentioned feeling unwell. She was given some aid after nearly fainting, and later vomited before falling asleep. No one expected that it would be the last time she would rest.

The OFW, whose identity is still being confirmed, never got to embrace her husband and children. She never made it home alive.
The incident earns sympathy online, especially among fellow OFWs and those familiar with the sacrifices they make.
