The GMA Gala 2025 was an affair of grace, charisma, and standout style. It was held at the Grand Ballroom of the Manila Marriott Hotel, graced by some of the biggest stars of the show business industry from both GMA and ABS-CBN.
One of the highlights of the night was EJ Gomez, a Kapuso reporter.
This year’s gala had no set theme, giving celebrities the freedom to get creative with their looks for the event. There were those who went dramatic and those who opted to be chic and sophisticated.
But the Kapuso reporter did something different that night.
She started trending online after netizens noticed she was still in full glam while reporting on-site. Seemingly, after attending the GMA Gala, she went straight to a fire incident in Caloocan City, with her makeup and hairstyle still intact, which earned praise for her dedication and professionalism.
According to her, journalists also need time off; however, when their duty calls, they need to respond to deliver what they are known for: “serbisyong totoo lang.” She is grateful for the praises she received.
Prior to this, she also went viral after people online noticed that her makeup was still intact while reporting amid a typhoon. Netizens called it “typhoon-proof” makeup, and she was surprised to wake up as a trending topic online.
