Families of missing sabungeros file complaints against Gretchen Barretto and Atong Ang.
Famous personalities Gretchen Barretto and Atong Ang face complaints filed by the families of sabungeros who mysteriously disappeared.
In the case of the missing sabungeros, actress Gretchen Barretto and businessman Atong Ang were involved following the confessions of the whistleblower. The witness also happens to be one of the accused in the case and a former employee of the wealthy businessman.

Alias “Totoy” implicated the businessman and the former actress, stating that Atong Ang is the mastermind and Barretto is actively involved in making the plans. Both Ang and Barretto are known to be fond of cockfighting.
In a previous article, Barretto’s camp reacted to the allegation and denied what she was accused of. Her legal counsel stated, “She attended no meetings where approvals were sought nor given to implement the disappearances. The proposition is so absurd, it is a plain invention.”
While the search for human remains in Taal Lake continues, the families of the missing cockfighting enthusiasts filed a complaint against the businessman, the actress, and former National Capital Region Police Office chief, retired Police General Jonnel Estomo.
A sibling of one of the sabungeros, Ryan Bautista, revealed they have filed a complaint for serious illegal detention and multiple murder, among others. Bautista expressed that they are happy that they have finally filed it.
Charlene Lasco, sister of missing sabungero Ricardo Lasco, meanwhile said, “Ang mga kinasuhan po namin syempre ‘yung aming matagal na talagang hinala, si Mr. Atong Ang.”
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. assured that the government is on top of everything to solve the case. He vowed that no one is above the law as they search for the suspect behind the mysterious disappearances.
