Judy Ann Santos talked about her new character in the series
A-list actress Judy Ann Santos said that it was challenging for her to portray the role of a president in the series The Bagman.
Juday is one of the most prominent actresses in the Philippine entertainment industry nowadays. Her status in showbiz was due to the acting caliber she showcased in her projects throughout her career.
In her most recent acting project, she gave life to the character of a president. Based on the article in The Inquirer, Juday said that this stint was challenging for her because of the heavy responsibility that came along with it.
The actress said that the already finished filming for The Bagman last year. This is her TV comeback after five years.
“It’s really challenging to be President of the Philippines because there are many things to consider,” she said.
Judy Ann Santos also said that she is nervous every time, like when she did her State of the Nation Address, or SONA. It was because she was conscious of using the terminology and she had to be specific, and make sure that what she was saying was politically correct.
On the other hand, she said that she gave all the action scenes to the male lead, played by actor-politician Arjo Atayde. She pointed out that Arjo is young and fit for the action scenes. “As for me, I’m only for Malacañang. It’s more fun there!” she added.
Judy Ann Santos also shared that she missed working with her ABS-CBN family. The actress revealed that she had promised the late Deo Endrinal that she would do this project. Prior to this, the actress had an emotionally challenging project in the movie Espantaho, which was part of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024.
