Alma Moreno Recalls Karen Davila’s Interview: “Iniyak ko ‘yon”

Alma Moreno recalled her viral interview

Veteran actress Alma Moreno revealed that she really cried after her interview on Karen Davila’s Headstart news and current affairs program.

To recall, the said interview happened in 2015. That was when Alma decided to run for senator. This went viral because of how the interview went.

Viewers noticed that Alma was feeling awkward during the interview. Apparently, Karen was demanding specific answers, and it was obvious that Alma was a bit nervous. The actress was asked about her platform and what law she would create as a senator; she would also be a lawmaker.

The actress was not able to give definite or concrete answers to the journalist’s questions. This garnered polarizing comments online, as some rallied behind Alma, but some pointed out that Karen was just doing her job as an interviewer.

A few days after that viral interview, Alma said in a separate interview that even though she was going through something at that time because of what happened, she was still determined that her heart deserved people’s votes.

In a recent interview, based on the article in Balita, Alma Moreno recalled that viral interview. She admitted that she really cried because of that.

Iniyak ko ‘yon. Siguro kasi nasasagot ko pero dinidiin eh. Inikot-ikot ako so na-rattle ako,” the veteran actress said. She also shared that after what happened, she and her three children checked into a hotel for three days.

Because of her answers to Karen’s questions at that time, Alma received comments ridiculing her. On the other hand, the actress clarified that she has no “sama ng loob” to Karen Davila and that she has forgiven the journalist.

Alma Moreno, who was under the UNITED NATIONALIST ALLIANCE, did not win in the 2016 elections. She was in rank 24.
