Veteran journalist Karen Davila interviewed one of the senatorial aspirant for the 2016 national elections, actress Alma Moreno who caught the attentions of social media users because of her “awkward answers” during the interview on ABS-CBN. Senatorial aspirant Alma Moreno was put on a hot seat during an exclusive interview with Karen Davila on ABS-CBN. The Parañaque councilor and senatorial aspirant Alma Moreno’s television interview with news anchor and TV host Karen Davila went viral online and drew negative comments form netizens who witness the interview.
Alma Moreno is running as one of the senatorial ticket of the opposition party, the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) headed by Vice President and Presidential candidate Jejomar Binay.
According to the movie actress before her decision to run for a senate seat, she asked signs on whether she would run for Senate as it was not initially part of her plans.
Netizens caught the attentions of Alma Moreno’s answer during the interview as she showed sign of being uncomfortable with every answer she responded to Karen Davila.

“Kailangan pa bang sagutin (Do I need to answer that)?” Moreno said.
“Of course. You’re running for the Senate,” Davila replied.
Davila: If you won a Senate seat, what would be your advocacy in the Senate?
Moreno: More on sa kababaihan (women).
Davila: Like what?
Moreno: Boses ng kababaihan (the voice of women)… Magna Carta of Women…
Davila: But then the law exists already.
Moreno: Pero may mga bagay na di na-implement (There are things that have not yet been implemented).
Davila: Like what? I want to hear it.
Moreno: Teka muna (hold on).
