Parañaque councilor and senatorial hopeful Alma Moreno finally speak up about the controversial viral interview with Karen Davila and noted that she is still moving forward, despite people’s reactions. In an earlier report, Alma Moreno admitted that she was hurt with the netizens’ reactions but continue to hold on with her dream of serving the Filipino people.
In an interview with ABS-CBN, Alma Moreno was quoted as saying “Ako po si Alma Moreno. May pinagdaraanan po. Siguro naman napanood niyo sa TV. Pero lumalaban pa rin. Hindi man ako ganoon kagaling magsalita, may puso naman ako sa tao,” she said while touring Balayan, Batangas with Vice President Jejomar Binay.
(I am Alma Moreno. I’m going through something. I suppose you saw it on TV. But I’m still fighting. I may not be that good a speaker, but I have a heart for the people.)
The 56-year-old Alma Moreno is part of the senatorial slate of Vice President Jejomar Binay’s United Nationalist Alliance (UNA).
In a separate report by GMA-7, Alma Moreno reportedly admitted in a speech that she was hurt by the criticism given regarding her “awkward” interview. However, she also thanked those who defended her during the time when she was bashed by most netizens online.
