PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Thursday (July 31, 2025) 

PAGASA: Improved Weather Expected Over Parts of Luzon

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that improved weather is expected over parts of Luzon. 

On Thursday (July 31, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The southwest monsoon will affect the country’s weather condition. 

PAGASA weather specialist Chenel Dominguez southwest monsoon will continue to bring rain showers over parts of the country.

The southwest monsoon will bring occasional rains over Ilocos Norte, Apayao, and Babuyan Islands. 

Habagat will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Central Luzon, the rest of Ilocos Region, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley. 

The weather disturbance will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Fair weather is expected over Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon. “Good news naman para sa mga kababayan natin dito sa may Metro Manila, Bicol Region, Calabarzon at May Maropa, improving weather na po ang ating nararanasan,” Domiguez added. 

The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains. 

Currently, no tropical cyclones or low-pressure areas are being monitored inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. 

Wala naman tayong minomonitor na anumang bagyo or low pressure area sa loob at labas ng ating Philippine Area of Responsibility na may posibling maka-apekto dito sa ating bansa sa mga susunod na araw,” she added. 

The coastal water condition over northern and western sections of Northern Luzon will be rough. Moderate to rough waters are expected over the rest of Luzon. Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to PAGASA
