Elementary School Teacher Lost Her Life After Being Stabbed to Death by Jealous Husband
An elementary school teacher in Rizal was stabbed to death by her husband in a jealous rage, an act witnessed by their child.
Last Wednesday morning (July 23, 2025), a 34-year-old woman, who worked as an elementary school teacher, was killed by her husband in their home in Barangay Mascap, Rodriguez, Rizal. The shocking incident was witnessed by their 10-year-old child.
According to police reports, the couple had a heated argument inside their house. During the fight, the husband allegedly threw coffee at his wife before grabbing a kitchen knife and repeatedly stabbing her.
Investigators believe jealousy sparked the violence after the husband saw a social media post he didn’t like. He reportedly suspected the victim of coming home late too often, which added to his suspicions.
Authorities also revealed that this was not the first sign of trouble in the household. The victim had previously filed a complaint against her husband for allegedly hurting their child. A settlement had been reached, and the suspect had supposedly stayed away from home for a time.
After the stabbing, the 37-year-old husband fled the scene but was later arrested in Barangay San Isidro. When questioned by the police, he admitted to the fight but claimed the stabbing happened out of frustration and that it was his first time hurting her.
The knife believed to have been used in the attack was recovered from the crime scene. The suspect is now under police custody and faces a charge of parricide.
The incident has left the community deeply shaken, especially with a young child caught in the middle of the violence. Authorities are continuing the investigation and ensuring the child receives proper care and support.
