Patrick Garcia is a proud father to his daughter Michelle
Actor Patrick Garcia shared the reminder that he gave to his daughter Michelle, who is one of the newest talents of Star Magic, the talent management company of ABS-CBN.
Patrick has been in the entertainment industry since he was a young boy. From being a child star, he transitioned into a teen star and became a serious actor. With his showbiz background, it is more likely that his children will follow in his footsteps.
Just recently, Patrick’s daughter was launched as a Star Magic artist. Michelle is the youngest among the new talents of ABS-CBN, and she is tagged as a “multi-talented performer.” She is just 12 years old.
In a recent interview, based on the article in ABS-CBN Entertainment, Patrick Garcia said that he is proud of his daughter. He also admitted that he was having mixed feelings regarding his daughter’s decision to be in the entertainment industry.
“Well, a little bit scared, a little bit excited – mixed emotions,” the actor said. He also said that Michelle could have told him that she wanted to be a lawyer or a doctor, but the young girl really wanted to perform.
“Pero sabi niya sa akin, ‘Daddy I wanna perform. I wanna be on stage. I feel calm when I’m on stage.’ (I’m like) what? (laughs),” Patrick shared.
The actor also admitted that he felt nervous every time her daughter would perform on stage. However, it would always amaze him with what she does.
“Syempre kinakabahan and proud din of course kasi ang galing niya eh. Sometimes I get nervous, but when I see her on stage and natapos niya ‘yung dance, parang there’s nothing to be nervous about. She carries it like a pro,” the actor said.
Patrick Garcia also shared an important reminder for his daughter. “Siyempre, for me, as long as she follows passion, which is dancing, performing, singing — what can go wrong? Basta i-enjoy lang. She’s 12 years old. She should enjoy it like a 12-year-old,” he said.
The actor added that there is no pressure for Michelle, and he just wants him to enjoy and have fun as she is just 12 years old. He also wants Michelle to always remember the value of humility and respect for the people around her.
