Ogie Diaz shared this experience in the entertainment industry
Talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz revealed that he has experienced a lot of “kaplastikan” in showbiz.
Ogie started young in the entertainment industry with the intention of being a reporter. In his recent guesting on Your Honor, hosted by House of Honorables Chariz Solomon and Buboy Villar, Ogie became the resource person for the topic, “In Aid of Plastikan: Mga Plastik sa Showbiz.”
During the start of their conversation, Ogie shared his early experience at GMA. He said that when he was just 16 years old, he would stay outside the GMA compound for a long time because he would wait for Cristy Fermin, who was one of the hosts of Movie Magazine that later became Movie Patrol.

Back then, he was not yet a reporter. He was an “alalay” of Cristy. Ogie would carry Cristy’s things like blazer, water, and bags. As a talent manager and showbiz reporter, Ogie Diaz was asked about the “kaplastikan” in the entertainment industry.
“Siyempre, pagka-back biter ka, plastic na yun! So, maraming uri, maraming klase ng kaplastikan talaga. Nararanasan natin ‘yan, ‘yung may mga kaibigan tayong pagkaharap natin okay tayo, pagtalikod kung ano-ano sinasabi against you dun sa isang tao. Tapos, ‘yung iba sumisipsip na aayunan na aayunan ‘yung kuwento mo ‘di ba, kasi nga may kailangan ako sa’yo kaya aayunan kita,” Ogie revealed.

However, he clarified that even though there are a lot of pretentious people in showbiz, this is not just exclusive to this industry because it also happens in other industries.
Ogie Diaz is one of the most popular showbiz insiders nowadays. Many people follow his YouTube channel and his online talk show Showbiz Update, in which he discusses the latest showbiz rumors, intrigues, and controversies.
Ogie earned the moniker “Patron Saint ng mga Hiwalayan” for reporting celebrity breakups before they were even confirmed.
