Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte Reacts To PNP Chief Nicolas Torre III Acceptance of his Challenge
BASTE DUTERTE – The Davao City Acting Mayor laid his own conditions for a boxing match with Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Nicolas Torre III.
Recently, PNP chief Nicolas Torre III agreed to a “charity boxing match” with Davao acting Mayor Duterte. According to him, he is not picking up what the acting Mayor of Davao City is trying to raise but he sees it as an opportunity to help the victims of flood and the typhoon.

Torre initially said that they can have the “charity boxing match” at the Araneta Coliseum. The PNP Chief also proposed that it will be better if they can have sponsors in each round of their 12-round match so they can raise a huge amount of money for the flood and typhoon victims.
Furthermore, the national police chief also expressed that it is fine with him if they do not have much time to practice or if the Davao City’s acting Mayor has practiced. He stressed that a charity boxing match won’t allegedly hurt much.

PNP chief Nicolas Torre III also claimed that accepting the challenge of Davao acting Mayor Baste Duterte is “nothing personal” on his part. The newly-appointed head of the national police in the country claimed that he will be at the Araneta Coliseum, 9:00 o’clock on Sunday.

However, shortly after PNP chief Nicolas Torre III laid his proposal to make their boxing match a charity event, Davao City acting Mayor Baste Duterte also laid his own conditions. Based on a post on social media, the youngest son of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte first asked why the PNP Chief had to link their match to the current situation in the country.
“Huwag kang mag-alala Torre kasi matagal ko na talagang gusto maka-bugbog ng unggoy. Kung gusto mo lang talaga ng suntukan, bakit kailangan mo pa ng charity charity. Why do you need, kailang mo pang gamitin yang nangyayari ngayon na baha diyan sa Metro Manila,” he said.

Davao City acting Mayor Baste Duterte then relayed his own conditions for a “charity boxing match” against PNP chief Nicolas Torre. Based on the post, he wants Torre to ask Pres. Bongbong Marcos to order all the government officials to undergo a drug test.
“If you’re really serious about this, kung gusto mo yang charity na ‘yan and you’ve laid some conditions, let me lay my own conditions for the event. Kung serious ka talaga ha. These are my conditions. Pakiusapan mo ‘yang amo mo na presidente and let it come out of his mouth that all elected officials should undergo a hair follicle drug test. Papalagan ko ‘yang charity-charity mo na ‘yan. Walang problema. If it will answer the issues nitong bansa natin, I can do that,” Davao acting Mayor Baste Duterte said.
Prior to the statement of the Davao acting Mayor, PNP chief Nicolas Torre has started his training for a possible boxing match against Duterte.
