Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Visits Dad Rodrigo Inside the ICC Detention Center Anew

SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President shared her conversation with former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte about Pres. Bongbong Marcos.

Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte is detained in The Hague, Netherlands for alleged crimes against humanity over his administration’s war on drugs. He is under the custody of the International Criminal Court (ICC) which has long investigated the issues surrounding the controversial campaign of the previous admin.

The family of former Pres. Duterte take turns in visiting him inside the ICC detention facility. His confirmation of charges is scheduled on September 23 but Duterte’s camp recently confirmed its plan to request for the suspension of the September 23 ICC hearing.

According to the lawyer of former Pres. Duterte, Nicholas Kaufman, they still await some documents. His legal team also asked the ICC earlier to temporarily stop in deciding over the interim release bid of the former President.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte believes that the ICC and the admin of Pres. Bongbong Marcos allegedly used each other in her father’s arrest. According to her, the foreign court supposedly wants to push through with a case against the former President while the Marcos admin wants her father, a “foremost staunch critic” of the President, away from the country.

The Duterte family and the supporters of the former President believe that Pres. Bongbong Marcos is to be blamed over the arrest and the transfer of custody of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte. Vice Pres. Duterte even believes that the Chief Executive allegedly committed an impeachable offense over what happened.

Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte visited former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte inside the ICC detention center again. Based on a report on Inquirer, she revealed telling her father that no Marcos will ever win a presidential election again.

“I told him, no one will vote for a Marcos for President. First of all, who are his allies? The dilawan,” she said.

According to Vice Pres. Duterte, when it comes to the elections, the yellowtards will allegedly “choose one of their own”. Based on the report, she also claimed that Marcos Jr. picked her to be his running mate in the 2022 Elections as he was allegedly not confident to beat former Vice Pres. Leni Robredo in the presidential race.

The Vice President admitted that she voted for Pres. Bongbong Marcos in 2022 but claimed that she regretted doing so. Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also revealed that former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte is ready to support her if she runs in the 2028 Elections.
