WALANG PASOK JULY 17, 2025 – Some areas announced class suspensions on Thursday due to expected heavy rainfall.
Several local governments in some parts of the country have declared class suspensions for Thursday, July 17, and some until July 18, due to expected inclement weather from Tropical Depression Crising and southwest monsoon. Another reason was due to a scheduled power outage.

Classes are suspended in:
- Catanduanes
- Baras – all levels (public and private)
- Palawan
- Aborlan – preschool to senior high school (public and private)
- Brooke’s Point – preschool to senior high school (public and private)
- Negros Oriental – all levels (public and private)
- Himamaylan – July 17 | all levels (public and private)
- Binalbagan – July 17–18 | all levels (public and private)
- Isabela – July 17 until further notice | all levels (public and private)
- La Castellana – July 17 until further notice | all levels (public and private)
- Sipalay – July 17–18 | all levels (public and private)
- Hinigaran – July 17 | all levels (public and private)
- Cauayan – July 17 | all levels (public and private)
- Hinobaan – July 17 | all levels (public and private)
- Kabankalan – July 17 | all levels (public and private)
- Antique
- San Jose de Buenavista – face-to-face classes for preschool to senior high school (public and private)
- Valderrama – preschool to senior high school (public and private) until Friday, July 18
- Hamtic – Pre-school to Senior High School (Public and Private)
- Patnongon – Face-to-face classes, shift to modular distance learning, or any alternative delivery mode
- Iloilo City – Pre-school to Senior High School (Public and Private)
Meanwhile, last July 9, classes were also suspended in different parts of the country due to non-stop rain. The decision was prompted as they are looking after the safety of the students and school personnel.
