PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Saturday (July 12, 2025)
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that the southwest monsoon will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Saturday (July 12, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The southwest monsoon will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Grace Castañeda reported that the southwest monsoon will bring occasional rains over Western Visayas, Cavite, Batangas, Palawan, and Occidental Mindoro.

“Samantala, bukod dito, meron din tayong minomonitor ng mga kaulapan or cloud clusters dito din sa labas ng ating area of responsibility banda sa silangan ng Visayas-Mindanao area,” he said.
Cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms are expected over Metro Manila, Mindanao, Central Luzon, Bicol Region, Pangasinan, the rest of Visayas, CALABARZON, and MIMAROPA.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are expected over the rest of Luzon.

The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains or severe thunderstorms.
“Samantala, apektado pa rin po ng southwest monsoon o habagat, yung malaking bahagi or yung buong bahagi ng ating bansa at magdadala pa rin po ito ng mga pag-ulan, lalong-lalong na dito sa mekanluran ng southern Luzon at Visayas,” Castañeda said.
A tropical storm is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. It was spotted 1,925 km east northeast of extreme Northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 80 kph.
“It is not seen to enter our area of responsibility. It also does not have an effect on any part of our country,” Castañeda said.
Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions across the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
