Actress-comedienne Giselle Sanchez admitted that she regretted portraying the role of “Cory” in the movie Maid in Malacañang.
Giselle is known for her comedic roles on TV shows and movies. However, in 2022, she took a role that reflected an iconic personality in the history of the Philippines.

Direk Darryl intended this to be a trilogy. The second installment was Martyr or Murderer. However, rumor has it that Giselle declined to reprise her “Cory” role. As of this writing, there is no update for the last installment of Direk Darryl’s trilogy.
In a recent interview with Long Conversation’s ‘The Men’s Room, based on the social media post shared by One News PH’s official Facebook page, it was said that Giselle regretted playing “Cory” in MiM.

One of the scenes she did was her character, wearing yellow with hair curlers, was playing mahjong with nuns. “Pinagsisihan ko yung pagtanggap sa role na yun. I should have thought about it better. Sana inisip ko na taga-UP ako, sana inisip ko yung bansa ko,” Giselle Sanchez said.
In the comment section of the post, netizens expressed various reactions. A netizen said that it is good that Giselle realized that, while another one commented that it was too late since the damage has been done.
