2 Delivery Riders Became Victims of Robbery in Davao City 

Two delivery riders in Davao City became victims of robbery in separate incidents involving riding-in-tandem suspects. 

On Thursday (July 10, 2025), two delivery riders lost hard-earned money and belongings in two separate robbery incidents in Davao City. 

The first incident happened just before noon in DSA Village, Balusong, Barangay Matina Crossing. The rider had just completed a parcel delivery when two armed men wearing bonnets suddenly arrived on a motorcycle.

According to the police, one of the suspects pointed a gun at the rider and took his sling bag. Inside were around P4,000 in cash, a cellphone, and important IDs. 

Earlier that same day, another delivery rider was held up in Zone 1, San Antonio, Barangay Buhangin Proper. He had just picked up a parcel for delivery when a man with a gun approached him as he was about to get on his motorcycle. 

The suspect demanded the rider’s sling bag, which contained P6,500 in cash and a phone. After the robbery, the man quickly fled on a motorcycle driven by his accomplice, who had been waiting nearby.

CCTV footage from the second incident captured images of the two suspects as they sped away, which police are now using to help identify them. 

The Davao City Police are continuing their hot pursuit operations and follow-up investigations to track down the culprits. Authorities are reminding delivery workers and residents to stay alert and report any suspicious activity in their areas. 

These incidents serve as a reminder of the risks faced by hardworking delivery riders, who are simply trying to earn an honest living each day on the road.
