Sharon Cuneta withdrew the cyberlibel case she filed against Cristy Fermin
Megastar Sharon Cuneta and her husband Senator Kiko Pangilinan reconciled with veteran showbiz insider Cristy Fermin.
To recall, in May last year, Sharon and Kiko filed cyberlibel complaints against Cristy. It was because of the showbiz insider’s statements regarding their family on her YouTube program Showbiz Now Na.
Sharon and Kiko filed five counts of libel for five episodes of Cristy’s show in which they talked about them and their family. In a statement after the case was filed, the showbiz insider admitted that she was surprised by this.

In October, Cristy revealed that she was “talo.” The court favored Sharon and Kiko. With this, the showbiz insider had to pay Php240,000, the amount required for bail.
In a recent social media post that talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz shared, based on the article in Bandera, he said that Sharon and Kiko reconciled with Cristy. This made the talent manager-vlogger happy.
“Nakakatuwa. Okay na sila ngayon. Kung matatandaan natin, nagsampa ng cyberlibel case ang mag-asawang Sen. Kiko Pangilinan at Sharon Cuneta,” he shared.

This came after Cristy had her public apology on her YouTube channel; she met Sharon and Kiko in court. The couple decided to withdraw the case they filed. “Sabi nga ni Ate Cristy, ‘Kung nakapanakit tayo ng kalooban, marunong naman tayong humingi ng tawad,‘” Ogie shared.
The talent manager-vlogger added that the court is not always the venue to fight for the truth and your rights. For him, a heart-to-heart talk can help the situation. He also pointed out that forgiveness should reign, especially when the two parties somehow had a bond. “Thank you, Sen. Kiko Pangilinan and Mareng Mega,” Ogie Diaz added.
Meanwhile, aside from Sharon Cuneta and Kiko Pangilinan, Cristy Fermin also faced cyberlibel complaints filed by Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo and Sarah Lahbati’s parents.
