Female Content Creator to Public: “silip-silipin din ang isda”
A female content creator reminded the public to be extra cautious when eating fish, especially after she discovered something unpleasant inside the one she bought and cooked.
Recently, Analiza Faraon Andal, a Facebook user, shared photos of something unpleasant she discovered inside the fish she bought and cooked. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
Andal explained how much she enjoys eating crispy fried fish, particularly the head, which is her favorite part. One day, while enjoying her usual meal of “GG” (galunggong) tinapa, something prompted her to check inside the gills of the fish before taking another bite.

Analiza found an odd-looking creature hidden in the gills. After doing a bit of research, she discovered that it was an isopod larva, a type of sea parasite that often lives in the gills or mouths of fish.
These parasites are usually hard to notice, especially if the fish wasn’t cleaned thoroughly and can survive even after cooking. She almost ended up eating it.
The female content creator reminded all fish lovers not to just focus on the taste or how well the fish is cooked. It’s also important to inspect it closely, especially around the gills or inner parts. Spoiled fish isn’t the only thing to watch out for. Sometimes, hidden parasites can still be inside, even if the dish looks perfectly fine on the outside.
