Big-Time Oil Price Rollback to Take Effect on Tuesday (July 1, 2025)

Fuel Companies to Implement Big-Time Oil Price Rollback This Week

FUEL PRICE ADJUSTMENTS – Several oil companies are set to impose a big-time oil price rollback starting Tuesday (July 1, 2025).

After several weeks of price increases, fuel costs are finally going down. The rollback includes a P1.40 per liter drop in gasoline prices, P1.80 per liter for diesel, and P2.20 per liter for kerosene.

Major oil companies like Shell, Seaoil, Caltex, Petro Gazz, and Cleanfuel are rolling out the new rates. Cleanfuel will implement the changes at 8:01 a.m., while others will begin at 6:00 a.m. that day.

The looming adjustment follows consecutive price hikes that left motorists struggling. Last week alone, prices rose by P3.50 for gasoline, P5.20 for diesel, and P4.80 for kerosene. Prior to this rollback, gasoline prices had gone up for six straight weeks, diesel for four, and kerosene for three.

The drop in fuel prices is being linked to a recent ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran, which helped ease concerns in the global oil market. The Department of Energy also noted that the market is starting to return to more stable conditions.

In addition to the rollback, fuel companies are offering special discounts to public utility drivers. Petron, Shell, Caltex, and Cleanfuel have launched programs that give price cuts ranging from P0.50 to P5 per liter, depending on the type of vehicle and fuel.

Though this week’s rollback brings some relief, fuel prices remain higher compared to earlier months. However, with geopolitical tensions cooling down, there’s hope that fuel prices may continue to settle in the coming weeks.

Filipino motorists are advised to take advantage of the reduced prices and discounts while they last.
