PAGASA Says Fair Weather Expected Over Most Parts of PH
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that fair weather will prevail across the country.
On Thursday (June 26, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Habagat and ITCZ will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA reported that the Southwest Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers over the western sections of Central and Southern Luzon while the Intertropical Convergence Zone will affect parts of Mindanao.

A tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility was last spotted 1,045 kilometers west of extreme Northern Luzon. It has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 55 kph.
“As for the rest of Luzon, including Metro Manila, we also expect generally fair weather, but we should also anticipate localized thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and evening,” Dominguez said.
The southwest monsoon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Kalayaan Islands.

The ITCZ will bring similar weather conditions over Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao Occidental.
“That’s why we should make it a habit to bring protection against both the heat and rain, especially in the afternoon and evening,” she added.
Habagat will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and the rest of Palawan.
The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, according to PAGASA.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The coastal water conditions over Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, and the western section of Southern Luzon will be moderate. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to PAGASA.
