Authorities Arrest Cashier for Allegedly Stealing from Supermarket in Caloocan
A 35-year-old cashier was arrested in Malabon City for allegedly stealing from a supermarket in Caloocan City.
On Wednesday (June 25, 2026), the police authorities arrest a female cashier for stealing from a supermarket. The theft reportedly happened in September 2020 and involved the help of some of her co-workers who pretended to be customers.
According to the Malabon Police, the cashier would purposely skip scanning some of the items her accomplices were “buying” from the supermarket. After the transaction, they would split the stolen goods or profits among themselves.

Alexander Manalo said.
Authorities said the stolen items were worth thousands of pesos in total. The supermarket’s management discovered the issue when they noticed inconsistencies in their inventory. After a careful review, they reported the incident to the police.
An investigation followed, which revealed that the cashier had done this at least five times on separate occasions.
Police said the woman admitted she was tempted to commit the crime due to financial difficulties. After the complaint was filed against her, she reportedly left the country and worked in Saudi Arabia as a domestic helper. By the time the court issued a warrant for her arrest in 2022, she was already abroad.
The cashier returned to the Philippines in 2023, and police eventually located her at her home in Barangay Tonsuya. She was arrested peacefully and did not resist. However, she chose not to give any statement about the charges filed against her.
