PAGASA Says LPA and Habagat to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that LPA and habagat will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Tuesday (June 24, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Two weather systems will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Rhea Torres reported that a low-pressure area and southwest monsoon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over parts of the country.

A low-pressure area west of Luzon and a tropical storm are located outside the Philippine area of responsibility.
“Currently, the storm is moving north-northwestward with a speed of 30 km per hour, which is why we are not expecting it to enter PAR, and it will have no effect over any parts of the country in the coming days,” Torres said.
The LPA was last spotted 175 kilometers west-southwest of Iba, Zambales. It has a slim chance of intensifying into a storm. It will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the western sections of Central Luzon, particularly Pangasinan, Zambales, and Bataan.

The southwest monsoon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, and the rest of Central Luzon.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Luzon.
Habagat will bring similar weather conditions over the remaining parts of the country.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, and the western section of Southern Luzon, as well as the rest of the country, will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
