Lady Netizen Aims to Return Squid Mistakenly Included in Her Grocery Bag
A lady netizen is seeking help online to return a raw squid that accidentally got mixed in with her personal belongings.
Recently, Deneila Mortales, a Facebook user, shared her story hoping to find the rightful owner of the squid. The post immediately spread like wildfire on social media and elicited comments from netizens.
According to Mortales, the mix-up happened while she was shopping in Rivson, a busy marketplace where she had several stops and carried many bags.
Deneila only discovered the extra bag of squid when she was about to organize her groceries at home. Confused and worried, she quickly retraced her steps. She returned to each stall she had visited that day, from the place where she bought spices to the vendor selling lumpia wrappersto check if anyone had reported a missing item.
Unfortunately, none of the sellers she asked had been approached by someone looking for the missing squid.
Despite being laughed at by a few people she spoke to, the lady netizen didn’t give up. She even left her contact number at one stall, just in case someone came back to ask about it. She also promised not to cook or touch the squid and said she would keep it safe in her fridge until its owner is found.
The woman hopes that her message reaches the person who lost the squid and that it can be returned before it goes to waste.
